We’ll guide you every step of the way.
So you can achieve success.

It is often not easy to find the right path for oneself or for the company, especially in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). This applies to many leaders, regardless of age or role. Changing demands are made and then discarded. The unexpected and the unplanned consume time and energy. Sometimes, even one’s own role as a leader is called into question. Suddenly, obstacles arise that can create uncertainty and feel overwhelming. Many new opportunities open up, but not all are seized. Mistakes are part of progress and simultaneously increase the pressure to improve performance.

Digital Leader Coaching supports you in finding situational solutions and developing your own mindset and specific skills as a leader over the long term. In times of digital transformation and AI, there is no single path to success. On the contrary, the numerous challenges give rise to a variety of possible “moves” that did not exist before. We focus on a person’s key potential and guide them in applying the right “strategic moves” as a leader.

The foundation of our work is what we call “bottleneck-centering.” Digitalization places so many demands on leadership, some of which are contradictory and ambiguous. Identifying the key bottlenecks in the current leadership situation, in attitude, and in behavior is therefore fundamental. On this basis, we focus on the specific goal at hand and the path to a solution. The method for solving the problem depends on the specific bottleneck. Finally, we provide support during implementation to reinforce newly identified behaviors.

This trusting collaboration is based primarily on one-on-one conversations, which may certainly take place over the phone, for example, to discuss current events immediately. As a result, self-management is improved and personal skills are optimally activated, aligned with the requirements of a company’s digital transformation.

What we do for you

From the very start of the coaching process, there is a consistent focus on the specific leadership situation. The questioning technique quickly leads to self-reflection on current personal challenges, such as: How am I currently dealing with the uncertainties and ever-changing obstacles of digital transformation? What challenges are causing me concern? What roles will I assume as a leader in the future? How do I strike a balance between being a team leader and a team player? What does it mean for me to decide less and ask more?

The answers quickly reveal the specific bottleneck, which can also be multifaceted. It is possible, for example, that the concrete demands of digital transformation reveal deeper-seated beliefs in leadership, so-called core beliefs, that are now becoming obstacles. In the subsequent coaching, these beliefs must then be changed or even let go of. As a result, the exact scope of the coaching is clarified, the goal is derived from it, and the approach is agreed upon together.

Digital Leader Coaching helps establish a new mindset and effective behavioral patterns. This combination makes it possible to implement new “strategies.” Any existing fears are addressed to create the space needed to explore new paths as a leader. Often, leaders as coachees become aware of their own hidden potential, which can be harnessed within the context of digital transformation.

The coaching is usually conducted in person and takes place over several sessions, as previously agreed upon in the approach. The process always takes place alongside leadership practice. Adjustments are always possible depending on how things progress and are agreed upon jointly. In addition, the speed and dynamism of digital transformation often provide new impetus for the coaching.

Following an intensive coaching session, Groß & Cie. is available to assist you in applying the attitudes and skills you have learned. This day-to-day support—for example, to discuss current events as they arise—is typically provided over the phone. Depending on your needs, regular follow-up sessions to review progress are also available.

During these meetings, the records from daily monitoring are also reviewed so that the analyses can be reflected upon together. This determines the status of learning and implementation, which in turn guides the next steps. Ideally, the intervals between contacts will gradually become longer.

After a few months, contact should be only sporadic or no longer necessary at all. This is always decided by the coachee. This is because coaching is not a form of therapy in which a doctor dictates the course of action, but rather a process of supporting and strengthening self-directed action.
